A family, a dairy, a dream. A story born in 1936, when Rino Avanzini "discovers" the Rivalta di Lesignano de 'Bagni dairy. He has few means but a great desire to do. And it proves it, Year after year. Until (1950s) with his brother he buys the dairy and the adjacent agricultural land. Then he built the first modern stable. In 1987, the Iris farm was born: which transforms only the milk from its own stable to produce Parmigiano Reggiano and other dairy products. Then came the "bio" certification. Today the company is run by his son Umberto, with his wife Carolina and children Davide and Iris. The same passion as always, the same dedication. And the same goal: produce and mature a Parmigiano Reggiano with a unique and inimitable flavor. A few years ago the restoration of the old stable, edited by Iris, allowed to give birth to "La Veggia da Iris": a tasting room where you can welcome enthusiasts and curious people and tell the story of Iris cheese and that of the family.
