The greatest satisfaction? When someone accidentally tastes our oil, appreciates it and seeks us to thank. These are the things that strengthen our passion ". Colleagues and spouses, united for life and custodians of Olivastra Seggianese for years, ancient wild cultivar that grows only in the Monte Amiata area. Anna Netti and Silvano Franceschelli have a passion for good oil and ancient traditions. A passion that has become a mission. With a view of the town of Arcidosso, among gentle green slopes populated by beech trees, their home is found. The tavern, that was once used for dinners with friends, it holds the last bottles of Olivastro, waiting for the new oil that is prepared at the end of the summer. The land that houses the ancient olive grove is in Seggiano, 4 hectares divided into two lots, a few kilometers away from where they live. Circa 700 secular plants that the spouses guard and care for with love. A limited production, about 1500 bottles per year, but a harbinger of great joys.

The pursuit of quality is handed down from generation to generation. The olive trees have belonged to the Netti family for a little less than 150 Years. First the commitment of Anna's ancestors, then that of her husband Silvano contributed to the safeguarding of an increasingly rare species to find, yet able to give an extra virgin olive oil with a unique flavor, with a slightly spicy and bitter aftertaste, but balanced and well dosed, so much so that even children like it.
The Olivastro of the Netti company is even sold in some pharmacies in Great Britain and Germany for its curative properties in vascular diseases. In the L’Olivastra farm, production - oil is also made from "traditional" olive trees - is followed step by step by the family in every single step. Only at harvest time, when everything has to happen within a few days, help is sought from outside forces. From cultivation to bottling to sale Anna Netti and her husband Silvano Franceschelli (expert in the care of ancient plants) I'm on the front line. The power of passion drives them.
